Crum & Forster Pet Insurance GroupTM insurance programs are underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company and administered by C&F Insurance Agency, Inc. and these Privacy Principles guide Crum & Forster’s conduct in the collection, use, release and security of personal and confidential information it obtains as part of its business of providing, producing and servicing commercial and personal lines insurance products, including underwriting, policy administration, insurance claims adjusting, production, appraisal and loss control services. These principles define Crum & Forster’s commitment to the privacy and integrity of the information it accumulates, manages and stores.

Who collects and has access to non-public personal information?

Personal information may be collected by and/or shared with employees of Crum & Forster or by any of Crum & Forster’s authorized representatives, attorneys, or others who provide services to Crum & Forster in connection with providing, producing and servicing its commercial and personal lines insurance products, such as claims administrators, independent appraisers, managed care providers, systems vendors, or similar service providers. Crum & Forster requires service providers to honor the privacy principles in the handling of non-public personal information obtained through its business relationship with Crum & Forster. Additionally, Crum & Forster may disclose information to third parties as allowed or required by law. For example, information may be released to comply with a statutory reporting requirement or in response to a subpoena or other order or inquiry of a court, regulator or governmental agency or to fulfill C&F’s obligations to its insurers or reinsurers.

Crum & Forster may make certain non-public personal information available to affiliate organizations or partners that provide goods, programs or services that will assist Crum & Forster in the servicing of your account and products it provide you. Crum & Forster uses very strict standards in determining which reputable companies become partners to ensure that such organizations are committed to the protection of visitors' privacy and committed to the goals of Crum & Forster.

Why does Crum & Forster need personal information and what does it do with it?

Crum & Forster limits the collection, disclosure, and use of customer information to only what is needed to properly produce, underwrite and service its insurance products, and/or to fulfill legal or regulatory requirements. Crum & Forster collects personal information solely for conducting its business of marketing, producing, underwriting, servicing and administering its insurance products including, but not limited to:

What types of information are collected?

The type of information that Crum & Forster collects varies according to the insurance product involved, and may include information C&F receives from you on applications and other forms; information C&F receives from your employer; information C&F receives from other sources such as motor vehicle reports or other insurance support organizations or medical providers.

Safeguarding Your Privacy

Access to non-public personal information is limited to those employees, and authorized representatives, attorneys and service providers of Crum & Forster, an affiliate organization, or partner who specifically need such information to conduct their business responsibilities. If you conclude your relationship with C&F, C&F will continue to safeguard your privacy in accordance with the standards described in this notice. C&F maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect non-public personal information.

About Our Website

C&F’s website is used only to disseminate information. Crum & Forster may count how many times its site has been visited and various other site statistics to help it provide a more useful and engaging online experience, but it does not gather any personal information about the visitors. If you send C&F an email, your communication will identify you to C&F. However, C&F will only use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry or in a manner you authorize.
